Xbox Game Pass June 2026 Second Wave: Everything You Need to Know

Microsoft has dropped the second wave of Xbox Game Pass games for June 2026, and it's packed with big names. From a controversial Call of Duty entry making its Game Pass debut to EA's latest football title and a beloved Tony Hawk remake, there's a lot to unpack for subscribers this month.

What Is Xbox Game Pass Second Wave?

Xbox Game Pass releases new games in two batches every month, one at the start and one in the middle. The second wave for June 2026 kicked off on June 16 and runs all the way into early July. This is great news for subscribers because you get a steady stream of new titles all month long instead of waiting until next month.

The Biggest Games in This Wave

Call of Duty: Vanguard is It Worth Playing?

Call of Duty: Vanguard is the headline game of this wave, landing on June 17 for Cloud, Console, and PC. It's one of the most debated games in the Call of Duty series — over 1,500 negative Steam reviews called out its weak campaign, uninspired multiplayer modes, and early technical problems. But here's the good news: most of those bugs have likely been patched by now, and with Game Pass, you can try it for free without spending a penny. If you're a hardcore Call of Duty fan who skipped Vanguard at launch, this is your best chance to finally give it a go.

EA Sports FC 26: The Best Football Game on Game Pass

EA Sports FC 26 joins Xbox Game Pass on June 18 and is playable on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.  This is a huge win for football fans because EA Sports FC 26 is a AAA title that normally costs full price.  If you're on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, you get access to it right away with no extra charge.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4: A Fan Favourite Returns

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 hits Game Pass on July 2, available across Cloud, Console, and PC. This is the long-awaited remake of two classic skate games from the early 2000s and is one of the most anticipated titles in this wave. Game Pass Premium subscribers will also be getting access to this one, making it available across more tiers.

Abyssus: The Indie Dark Horse

Abyssus is coming on June 25 to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.  This is the indie game to watch this wave. If you enjoy action or adventure-style games, it's worth checking out when it drops.

Junkster: The Day-One Indie Launch

Junkster kicked things off on June 16, and it's a day-one release on Game Pass.  You play as UM-13, a construction robot stranded on a junkyard planet who must fix his ship and recover lost human artifacts using only a robo-wrench.  It's available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on June 30

You don't want to miss these, they're all gone after June 30:

• Mecha Break (Cloud, Console, and PC)

• Payday 2 (Console)

• Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC)

• Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console, and PC)

• Slay the Spire (Cloud, Console, and PC)

• Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, and PC)

• Volcano Princess (Cloud, Console, and PC)

• Unpacking (Cloud, Console, and PC)

If you've been putting off playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, Slay the Spire, or Unpacking, now is the time. Once they leave on June 30, you'll need to buy them separately to continue playing.

Which Game Pass Tier Do You Need?

Not all games in this wave are available on every tier. Here's a simple breakdown:

• Xbox Game Pass Ultimate: Gets you the most games, including EA Sports FC 26, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, and all indie titles. Also includes Cloud gaming.

• PC Game Pass: Similar to Ultimate for PC players. Covers most titles in this wave.

• Xbox Game Pass Premium: A newer tier that covers Call of Duty: Vanguard, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, Abyssus, and more, but not EA Sports FC 26.

• Xbox Game Pass Core / Essential: These lower tiers do not include the new June wave games.

Is Xbox Game Pass Still Worth It in June 2026?

Yes. Getting EA Sports FC 26 alone at no extra cost is a massive value add for football fans. Add in a free shot at Call of Duty: Vanguard, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, and several indie titles, and June 2026 is a solid month for subscribers.
