Battle Suit Aces is a tactical deckbuilding RPG developed by Trinket Studios, the team behind Battle Chef Brigade, and published by Trinket Studios with Outersloth. It launched on October 7, 2025 for PC, macOS, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
Battles are fought with cards. You deploy upgradable mecha pilots, pair them with energy-generating Drones and play Command Cards, while lane-based attack patterns and card passives keep combat accessible but deep.
The game offers two ways to play. The story campaign spans 45 episodes with all 75 characters fully voiced, styled like a Saturday morning cartoon. A separate roguelite mode builds a fresh deck each run, unlocks hundreds of cards and adds Daily Runs with leaderboards.
In the campaign, Captain Heathcliff and the Patchworks crew search the galaxy for powerful Relic Suits. You recruit and bond with 25 pilots from five factions, each with its own missions and strategies, and dozens of mods let you customize your ship and cards. It is single-player only.
Between missions, you unlock faction missions, upgrade battle suits and fine-tune your deck for the battles ahead. Story battles go beyond standard fights, with surprise attacks, heists and Starball matches that change the rules. Accessibility options, adjustable difficulty and full controller support make it approachable for newcomers to deckbuilders, while the roguelite mode offers a stiffer challenge for experienced players.
It suits deckbuilder fans, players who like story-rich strategy, and anyone who enjoys anime-inspired mecha themes.
PC and Mac: Keys activate on Steam, and the game runs on both Windows and macOS.
