Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is a truck racing game developed by Stellar Stone and published by Margarite Entertainment. This version released on Steam for Windows PC on April 8, 2025, bringing back the trucking game first released in 2003. The Steam page lists support for many interface languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
The original became widely known as one of the worst-reviewed games ever made, and much of the interest in this release comes from that cult reputation. Players who remember the jokes can now try it on a modern PC with Steam features.
You drive across America, from Portland, Oregon to Miami, Florida, hauling loads and trying to stay ahead of the law. There are four big rig trucks with trailers and four route types: desert, forest, plains, and cities. Along the way you deal with CB radio chatter, convoys, and police on your tail as you try to deliver each load.
Day and night driving changes how each run plays, and three levels add a range of challenges. You can also race a modified rig on five tracks and post times to Steam leaderboards. It is a single-player game. Steam achievements and trading cards add small goals for completionists.
It suits collectors of gaming curiosities, streamers, and players who enjoy short, offbeat driving games. It is best approached as a piece of gaming history rather than a modern trucking simulator, and its tiny install size means it runs on almost any Windows 10 PC.
PC: This 2025 release is on Steam for Windows only. There are no console versions.
Extras: A separate DLC named YOU'RE WINNER and an official soundtrack are sold on Steam and are not part of the base game.
