Bloody Spell is a single-player martial arts action RPG developed and published by the small Chinese studio Elong Games. It entered Steam Early Access in January 2019 and left it with a full release on January 26, 2022 for Windows PC.

Combat is the center of the game. You switch between several weapons, each with its own speed, power, and reach, and chain their skills into combos. Clean hit feedback and responsive controls make fights feel sharp, and full controller support is included.

Levels use randomized layouts. When you die and return, the scenes, enemies, equipment, and items are arranged differently, so each run plays out a little differently. The Bloody Spell system lets the hero tap a curse inside his body for special effects such as bullet time, assassination finishers, counterattacks, and health recovery.

The story follows Yejin, who spent ten years training with his sister Li in the Wanfa sect. When a group called the Void Legion attacks the sect, his fellow disciples fall, his sister is taken hostage, and he must fight his way through a world in chaos.

Bloody Spell suits players who enjoy demanding hack-and-slash combat, martial arts settings, and replayable runs. It is a single-player game, and Steam Workshop support adds community content.

• PC: PC keys activate on Steam. The game runs on 64-bit Windows 7, 8, or 10 and needs about 25 GB of storage.

• DLC: Several optional cosmetic DLC packs are sold separately, and all of them require the base game.
