Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is a turn-based RPG published by Square Enix and co-developed with Cattle Call. It remasters the first game in the Bravely series, first released on Nintendo 3DS. The remaster launched on Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025, then on PC and Xbox Series X|S on March 12, 2026.

You travel across the land of Luxendarc as Tiz, the sole survivor of a village swallowed by the Great Chasm, alongside the vestal Agnès. Together you set out to awaken the crystals and close the chasm.

Battles are turn-based and built around two commands. Brave spends Brave Points to take extra actions in a turn, while Default guards and stores points for later. You combine this with more than 20 jobs, such as White Mage, Black Mage and Knight, to shape each of your four party members. Adjustable difficulty and encounter settings let you tune the pace of the adventure.

The remaster adds HD graphics, a redesigned interface, the option to fast-forward event scenes and two new minigames. Network features from the original have been updated for modern systems.

It suits players who enjoy classic Japanese RPGs, job systems and tactical turn-based combat, and fans returning to the 3DS original who want a sharper, more convenient way to replay it. The PC version also supports full controller play.

• PC (Steam): PC keys activate on Steam. The PC version requires Windows 11 and a 64-bit system.
