Cairn is a survival climbing game developed and published by The Game Bakers, the French studio known for Furi and Haven. It was released on January 29, 2026 for PC and PlayStation 5.

You play as Aava, a professional climber attempting the first ascent of Mount Kami. Climbing is free-form: you place each hand and foot on holds, watch your balance and stamina, and read the rock face to plan a route. Any surface can be climbed, so the path to the top is yours to choose. Grip strength and stamina drain as you hang on, so finding a ledge to rest is often as important as the next move.

Survival is a big part of the climb. You carry limited pitons, chalk, and finger tape, and you also need food, water, and medicine. Setting up bivouacs lets you rest, cook, and recover before the next wall. Each hard section plays like a puzzle, and a fall can cost real progress.

Cairn is a single-player game. Adjustable difficulty settings let you tune the challenge, and a controller is recommended on PC. Along the way you meet other characters on the mountain and learn about its history and the people Aava left behind.
