Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is an upcoming military FPS that continues the Modern Warfare story as a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 3. The game is designed around three main experiences: a single-player campaign, online multiplayer, and the return of DMZ extraction gameplay.
The campaign is expected to center on a modern conflict involving the Korean Peninsula, with missions also taking place in global locations such as New York, Paris, and Mumbai. Multiplayer is planned with 12 core maps at launch, plus dedicated Gunfight arenas and large-scale “Big War” maps.
DMZ returns as a more complete extraction mode, where players enter a combat zone, collect loot, complete objectives, and try to extract safely. This makes Modern Warfare 4 appealing to players who enjoy both story-driven missions and high-pressure tactical online matches.
