Corsair Cove is a city-building strategy game developed by Limbic Entertainment, the studio behind Tropico 6, and published by Hooded Horse. It was released on July 31, 2026 for PC.
The setting is the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. The Crown's pirate hunters are closing in, and you start on a deserted island with a wrecked ship and its surviving crew. Your goal is to grow that camp into a pirate haven strong enough to keep the Jolly Roger flying.
Building is vertical. Flat land is scarce, so you place structures on cliff faces and hilltops and connect them with walkways. Production chains span these heights and turn raw goods into ale, spyglasses, flintlock pistols, cannons, and ships. Crew needs, from taverns to living quarters, must be met to keep morale high as your population grows into the thousands.
Beyond the island, you build ships, raise a fleet, and explore uncharted waters. Raiding nearby islands brings in resources you cannot make yourself, while defenses and naval battles protect your cove from the Crown. Corsair Cove is a single-player game.
It suits city-builder fans who enjoy production chains and logistics, and players looking for a pirate setting with exploration and naval combat on top of base building. The vertical maps make layout planning a big part of the challenge, since every road and walkway has to climb, so expect slower, thoughtful sessions.
