Cultic is a retro-inspired first-person shooter developed by Jasozz Games and published by 3D Realms. It launched on PC through Steam on October 13, 2022, and later arrived on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.

The story begins with your character being left for dead. You crawl from the grave and battle through the ranks of a mysterious cult across dark, hand-built levels full of secrets and ambushes.

Combat is fast and physical. You shoot, slide, duck, dodge and throw dynamite, and enemies react with heavy gore. A mix of classic weapons and explosive tools rewards aggressive play.

It is a single-player campaign with full controller support and Steam leaderboards. Its gritty look draws on 1990s shooters while adding modern movement and effects.

Levels reward exploration, with hidden rooms, extra ammo and secret areas tucked behind walls and side paths. Health and resources are limited, so careful movement matters as much as quick reflexes, especially on harder difficulties. Enemies range from basic cultists with firearms to larger and stranger threats, and they often attack from several directions at once. The base game contains Chapter One, and the story concludes in CULTIC: Chapter Two, a paid DLC released in September 2025.

It suits fans of boomer shooters like Blood and Quake who want a tough, atmospheric horror shooter with plenty of secrets to find.
