Days Gone is a third-person action-adventure game where you freely explore a vast open world filled with danger. Two years after a global pandemic, most humans are dead, and millions have become Freakers, mindless, feral creatures that hibernate in daylight but form massive hordes at night to hunt.

You control Deacon St. John, an outlaw-turned-drifter and bounty hunter. Your main goal is to find Sarah, your wife, who was assumed dead but may still be alive. The game blends survival, combat, stealth, and exploration. You fight Freakers, infected wildlife (Runners and Ragers), hostile humans, and opportunistic hunters called Newts.

Core gameplay includes:

• Using firearms (pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, crossbows), melee weapons, traps, and explosives like Molotovs and proximity mines.

• Stealth tactics: noise suppressors, silent kills, distracting enemies, and luring Freaker hordes into human camps to make them fight.

• Riding Deacon’s motorcycle is the main transportation. The bike needs fuel and repairs, and you must refuel at gas stations and camps.

• Building trust with settlement camps (Hot Springs, Lost Lake, etc.) by completing missions and selling food to earn camp credits.

• Unlocking skill points (XP) to level up and improve melee efficiency, ranged weapons, and survival skills.
