The story follows Ro, a hunter from a small tribe who loses her son. Guided by voices from another world, she crosses into the realm of spirits to bring him back. The Spirit World is split into four realms and 13 regions, and it is explored as an open world rather than a series of fixed runs.

Combat takes place on a grid. Each card you play can attack, move, block, or set up effects, so positioning matters as much as deck strength. You face more than 30 enemy types, mini-bosses, and major bosses, and the terrain can help or hurt you through hazards and boons.

Deckbuilding is the main progression system. Over 160 cards support styles built around poison, strength, sacrifice, retaliation, backstabbing, and movement. Shamanic Totems add passive effects that shape your strategy, and side quests from the spirits you meet can change your deck. The full journey runs for more than 25 hours.
