What is Deep Rock Galactic?

Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op first-person shooter developed by Ghost Ship Games and published by Coffee Stain Publishing. After a long Early Access period, it fully launched on May 13, 2020, and is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

You play as a team of tough space dwarves working for the Deep Rock Galactic mining corporation. Your crew drops into the caves of the hostile planet Hoxxes IV to extract valuable minerals, complete objectives, and get back to the drop pod before the alien swarm overwhelms you.

The caves are procedurally generated and fully destructible, so no two missions look the same. You can dig through almost any wall to create shortcuts, escape routes, or defensive positions, which makes the terrain itself part of your toolkit.

Teamwork is central to the game. There are four classes: the Scout lights up caves and moves fast with a grappling hook, the Gunner brings heavy firepower and shields, the Engineer builds platforms and sentry turrets, and the Driller tunnels straight through rock. Each class has upgradable weapons and gear.
