Desperados III is a real-time tactical stealth game developed by Mimimi Games and published by THQ Nordic on June 16, 2020. It is a prequel to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. John Cooper, on a quest for redemption, teams up with runaway bride Kate, hitman Doc McCoy, giant trapper Hector and Isabelle, a mysterious woman from New Orleans. The journey runs from rural towns through swamps and riverbanks to a showdown in a growing city.
Each character has a distinct toolkit. Cooper uses a knife and twin revolvers, Hector sets a bear trap and swings an axe, McCoy relies on lures, knockout gas and a long-range pistol, and Kate uses disguises to distract guards. Showdown Mode pauses the action so you can queue actions for several characters and trigger them at once. Every level offers many routes, lethal and non-lethal options, and Baron's Challenges for replay.
