Released on December 2, 2025, Renegades is the 10th expansion for Destiny 2 and the centerpiece of the Year of Prophecy. Following the events of The Edge of Fate, the narrative shifts away from official Vanguard operations toward a gritty, syndicate-focused story. Players work alongside the Drifter, Eris Morn, and new Praxic Order member Aunor Mahal to track down Dredgen Bael, a fallen Guardian-turned-villain leading the "Barant Imperium." The expansion is a direct collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, introducing Star Wars-inspired gear—including the Praxic Blade (Destiny’s version of the lightsaber) and Blaster archetype weaponry—into the familiar sandbox of Destiny 2.
