Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third main entry in BioWare's fantasy RPG series, published by Electronic Arts on November 18, 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Built on the Frostbite engine, it trades the single city of Dragon Age 2 for large, open regions across Orlais and Ferelden.
A massive tear called the Breach has opened in the sky, and demons are pouring into Thedas while mages, templars and nobles fight each other. You play the Inquisitor, the only survivor of the blast and the one person able to close rifts. You choose a race and class, recruit companions with their own loyalties and romance options, and build the Inquisition from Skyhold. Choices made in conversations and at the war table shape alliances and the state of the world. Combat runs in real time, with an optional tactical camera that pauses the action for planning. A separate four-player online co-op mode offers mission-based dungeon runs. The PC version holds a Metacritic score of 85.
Today the game is sold mainly as the Game of the Year Edition, which bundles all three story DLCs. A Dragon Age: Inquisition CD key is often heavily discounted, and it sets up the events of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. See the official EA game page for more.
