Driver: Parallel Lines is an open-world driving and action game developed by Ubisoft Reflections and published by Ubisoft. It first launched in 2006 on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and the PC version has been available on Steam since February 13, 2009.
You play as TK, a young getaway driver in New York City. After a job goes wrong, he is betrayed by his crew and spends 28 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. When he is released, he goes after the people who set him up.
The game is split across two time periods. The first half takes place in 1978, and the second half moves the same city to the present day of the mid-2000s, with updated cars and streets. Seeing how New York changed between the two eras is a large part of the appeal.
Driving is the core of every mission, from chases and getaways to races. You can drive 80 cars and motorcycles, from classic muscle cars to modern models, and tune them in garages with body work, engine upgrades, suspension tuning, paint, bulletproof glass, and tinted windows. On foot, you can use short and long range weapons.
Driver: Parallel Lines suits fans of classic crime driving games, old-school car chases, and gritty revenge stories. It is a single-player game, and its hardware demands are very low by modern standards.
PC: PC keys activate on Steam. The PC version is a single-player release with a 4.8 GB install.
Older hardware specs: Official requirements list Windows XP and Vista, so modern Windows systems may need compatibility settings.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. For screenshots and details, see the official Driver: Parallel Lines Steam page.
