DuneCrawl is an open-world action-adventure game developed and published by Alientrap, the studio behind Capsized and Cryptark. It was released for Windows PC on Steam on January 5, 2026.

You play as a Crab Keeper steering a gigantic Dune Crawler across sandy seas. The crab carries black powder cannons, and your crew loads ammunition, repairs damaged legs and takes the helm during battles against rival crawlers, huge bosses and island fortresses.

Off the crab, you explore oasis islands, take on quests and delve into devious dungeons full of loot. Hand-to-hand combat uses a wide range of weapons and items, and the local wildlife, from bomb flowers to beehives, can be turned against enemies.

Masks, Tunics and Talismans grant new abilities, while upgrades like Spike Armoured legs and Guided Torpedoes improve your crawler. You can also ride beetles, nymphs, scorpions and ball bugs.

The game supports solo play with a ghostly helper, or local and online co-op for up to four players. The story follows the Polloi pilgrims in their war against the invading Ceramicist and his jar-headed Vassals.

Your Dune Crawler acts as a mobile base as well as a warship. Between battles you can customize it with new paint jobs and hats, and crews can launch themselves through the air for boarding actions against enemy crawlers. Weapons such as the Buzzooka and Acid Harpoon add more options in combat.

It suits players who enjoy co-op adventures with friends, ship-combat games and open worlds full of quirky creatures.
