Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler with roguelike structure, developed by Dodge Roll and published by Devolver Digital. It launched on April 5, 2016 for PC and PlayStation 4, and later came to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
You pick one of several Gungeoneers, each a misfit with a personal regret, and fight down through the floors of the Gungeon. Every run builds new rooms, so enemy layouts, shops, and treasure change each time. If you die, you start again from the first floor, but what you learned carries over.
Combat is fast and readable. Rooms fill with patterns of bullets, and your main tools are the dodge roll, which lets you pass through shots, and flipping tables to create cover. Blanks clear every bullet on screen when you are cornered. Each floor ends with a boss fight built around its own attack patterns.
The real draw is the arsenal. The game has hundreds of guns and items, many of them strange or comedic, and they can combine into synergies that change how a weapon behaves. Currency earned during runs unlocks new gear back at the Breach hub, so future runs offer more variety.
A second player can join in local co-op as the Cultist. Enter the Gungeon suits players who enjoy tough, replayable action, quick sessions, and learning enemy patterns over many attempts.
PC: Most PC keys activate on Steam. The game runs on Windows 7 or later and Linux, with about 2 GB of storage.
Consoles: Codes for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch redeem on PlayStation Network, a Microsoft account, or the Nintendo eShop.
Content: The Advanced Gungeons and Draguns update added new bosses, guns, and modes at no extra cost.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. For more about the game, visit the official Enter the Gungeon website.
