Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is an off-road simulation developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, released on March 5, 2024. It builds on the physics-driven driving of SnowRunner and the series that started with Spintires, but swaps cargo delivery for scientific expeditions. Across open worlds from Arizona to the Carpathians, you search for archaeological sites, dinosaur fossils, forgotten ruins and natural curiosities.
Each mission starts with planning. You hire Specialists to boost your skills, scout routes with a drone and metal detector, and choose between nimble scouts, off-road machines and heavy trucks in the garage. In the field, tools decide success: the winch pulls you out of mud or lowers you down cliffs, portable anchors help with tricky maneuvers, a jackscrew rights a flipped vehicle and an echo sounder measures river depth before you cross. Profits fund home base upgrades, new vehicles and accessories such as storage extensions and spare parts. You can play alone or with up to four players in online co-op, and seasonal DLC adds new regions and vehicles.
