The game follows Avil, a highly skilled warrior and one of the last members of an ancient order capable of fighting the enormous ogres threatening humanity. These gigantic creatures have returned after centuries, putting human settlements at risk.

Players must travel through devastated environments, fight waves of smaller enemies, rescue civilians, defend settlements, and ultimately confront towering ogres.

Combat combines fast swordplay, acrobatic movement, aerial attacks, and strategic dismemberment. Because the ogres are far larger than Avil, players must climb them, target their armor, sever limbs, and eventually execute them.
