FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS is a deckbuilding roguelite developed by ginolabo and published by Kodansha, based on the Fairy Tail manga and anime by Hiro Mashima. It was released on August 26, 2024 for PC and Mac, and a Nintendo Switch version followed in January 2026.
The game tells a new story. Natsu and Happy find a mysterious door under the guild hall that leads to a vast dungeon where intruders lose their powers. An Exceed named Labi helps them survive, and the pair head deeper to find Labi's missing friend.
Each run uses a limited number of moves and a deck of skill cards. Cards let you attack, defend, and cast magic, and playing them in the right order triggers Magic Chains for heavy damage. You add new cards from battles and treasure chests, and points earned on each run unlock amulets that help the next attempt.
Characters play differently. Natsu is a balanced all-rounder, Lucy calls on celestial spirits, and Gray uses molding magic, with more guild members to unlock. After training heroes in the solo Labyrinth, you form a team of three for the Labyrinth Depths, which ends with an original boss illustrated by Hiro Mashima.
The soundtrack is produced by Hiroki Kikuta, known for Secret of Mana. The game is single-player and suits Fairy Tail fans and anyone who enjoys short, replayable card runs.
PC and Mac: PC keys usually activate on Steam. The game is very light, needing about 500 MB of storage.
Nintendo Switch: Switch codes are redeemed on the Nintendo eShop.
Related game: This is a separate spin-off from the action RPG FAIRY TAIL 2, so check the title on each listing.
