FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is a remastered Japanese survival horror game developed and published by KOEI TECMO GAMES. The original launched in Japan in 2008 as the fourth main entry in the series and never had an official Western release. The remaster arrived on March 8, 2023, following the remaster of Maiden of Black Water.
The story follows a group of girls who vanished during a festival on Rogetsu Isle and returned without their memories. Years later, as teenagers, they go back to the island to uncover the truth. You explore dimly lit Western-style mansions and an abandoned hospital using moonlight and a faint flashlight beam. The Camera Obscura is your only weapon: frame ghosts in the viewfinder and photograph them to deal damage and seal them away. Notes and old newspaper articles piece together the island's past. The remaster upgrades in-game movies and character models.
A Fatal Frame Mask of the Lunar Eclipse CD key suits fans of slow-burn, atmospheric horror and anyone who played Crimson Butterfly. Visit the official KOEI TECMO site for trailers and edition details.
