Friday the 13th: The Game is a multiplayer survival horror game developed by IllFonic and later supported by Black Tower Studios, with publishing by Gun Media.
Inspired by the legendary Friday the 13th horror franchise, the game places players in the role of either a camp counselor trying to survive the night or the unstoppable killer Jason Voorhees. Matches take place across iconic locations inspired by the films, including Camp Crystal Lake and surrounding areas.
As counselors, players must cooperate to repair vehicles, call the police, rest
re power, find weapons, and escape before Jason catches them. Meanwhile, Jason possesses supernatural abilities including teleportation, enhanced senses, and immense strength, allowing him to hunt down victims using a variety of brutal executions.
The game became popular among horror fans for its faithful recreation of the Friday the 13th atmosphere, tense multiplayer gameplay, and authentic Jason experience. Although new content development ended due to licensing issues, the game remains a notable title in the asymmetrical horror genre.
