Front Mission 3: Remake is a turn-based tactical RPG developed by MegaPixel Studio and published by Forever Entertainment. It remakes the 1999 PlayStation classic, first arriving on Nintendo Switch in 2024 before launching on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on January 30, 2026.

Battles play out on grid-based maps where you move a squad of wanzers, the series' giant mechs. Each turn you position units, pick targets and aim at specific body parts, such as arms or legs, to disable enemy weapons and mobility.

Between missions, you customize wanzers by swapping bodies, arms, legs, weapons and backpacks, balancing firepower against weight limits. Pilots learn skills that can trigger during combat, adding depth to squad building.

The story follows Kazuki Takemura, a young test pilot pulled into a global conflict, with an early choice that splits the adventure into two separate campaigns. It is a single-player game.

The remake keeps the original structure and story while updating character models, environments and the interface for modern screens. Controller support, achievements and quality-of-life options make the long campaign easier to approach for newcomers. A large part of the experience happens outside battle, where you read in-game email and browse a fictional network for story details, upgrade pilots and plan your squad. Each campaign path introduces different characters and missions, which gives the game strong replay value for tactics fans.
