Go Mecha Ball is an arcade twin-stick shooter with roguelite progression, developed by Whale Peak Games and published by Super Rare Originals. It launched on January 25, 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, and arrived on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024.
Each run drops you into compact 3D arenas filled with robots. You walk and shoot as a mech, then transform into a ball to roll, bounce, and smash into enemies. Ramps, bumpers, and giant fans turn levels into pinball-style playgrounds, so movement matters as much as aim.
The game offers four mechs, each with its own weapons, abilities, and upgrades. There are more than 25 weapons, over 20 abilities, and more than 50 upgrades to find, which lets you build synergies such as missile swarms, summoned allies, or ground-pound attacks. Between runs you unlock permanent improvements.
Go Mecha Ball is a single-player game. Runs move through four worlds with their own enemies, obstacles, and large bosses, backed by a dynamic soundtrack that reacts to the action. Sessions are short, which makes it easy to fit a run into a break.
Go Mecha Ball suits players who enjoy fast arcade shooters, roguelite builds, and physics-based movement. It is a good pick for fans of twin-stick games who want something more mobile than a standard top-down shooter.
PC: Most PC keys activate on Steam, and the game is also sold on the Microsoft Store for Windows.
Consoles: Xbox codes are redeemed on a Microsoft account, PlayStation codes on PlayStation Network, and Switch codes on the Nintendo eShop.
Edition: Offers mainly differ by platform. A separate soundtrack is sold on Steam, so make sure a listing is for the game.
