You lead the people of the Tribe of the Dawn as they travel deep into forbidden lands. The setting draws on Slavic folklore, with dark forests, ancient ruins and terrifying creatures. Your goal is to survive by building a gord, a fortified settlement, and growing it from a small camp into a stronghold that can hold back the dangers outside.

Building and resource management form the core of each level. You raise palisades, construct structures and assign workers, while enemy tribes, monsters and mysterious powers threaten your people. Quests send you beyond the walls to hunt legendary creatures, uncover secrets or deal with personal problems of your subjects.

A sanity system tracks how illness, hunger and loss affect each settler. If sanity drops too far, a subject may break down or flee. Powerful Horrors also roam the land and pose a serious threat to any settlement.

Beyond the story campaign, Scenario mode lets you set objectives, map size, raid intensity, weather and enemy types. Gord is a single-player game, and it suits fans of dark fantasy, survival strategy and settlement builders with a strong story focus.
