GreedFall is an action role-playing game developed by French studio Spiders and published by Focus Entertainment. It released on September 10, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and a Gold Edition followed on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2021.

You play as De Sardet, a noble envoy who travels to the island of Teer Fradee, a land rich in magic that colonists, scholars and religious powers all want to control. The native islanders see the newcomers as invaders, and a deadly plague is spreading back home.

Quests can be solved in several ways. You can talk your way through, sneak, use disguises, or fight in real-time combat that mixes melee weapons, firearms and magic. A tactical pause helps you plan in tougher battles. Skill, attribute and talent trees let you build a warrior, magician, technician or a mix of all three.

Companions from different factions travel with you, and your choices affect their loyalty, the faction relationships on the island and the ending you reach. The game is single-player and set in a 17th-century-inspired fantasy world with baroque cities, dense forests and ancient ruins. Crafting lets you upgrade armor and weapons, and many side quests add hours to the main story.
