Hades is an action rogue-like dungeon crawler developed and published by Supergiant Games, released on Steam on September 17, 2020 with a Metacritic score of 93. You play Zagreus, the immortal Prince of the Underworld, who tries to escape his father's realm one run at a time. The studio combines the fast combat of Bastion, the atmosphere of Transistor and the character-driven writing of Pyre.
Each escape attempt sends you through shifting chambers filled with enemies and guardian bosses that remember you. Gods such as Zeus, Athena and Poseidon offer Boons that modify your attacks, creating thousands of possible builds. Dying is part of the loop: you return to the House of Hades, talk to a fully voiced cast, unlock story events and spend resources at the Mirror of Night for permanent upgrades. A Hades CD key gives you the full game on Steam, and the game is also sold on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.
