In Hard West, you follow Warren on a descent into the darkest recesses of the human soul. The game is divided into 8 unique story-based scenarios with over 40 combat missions. Unlike traditional tactical games, it replaces pure RNG with a Luck system: Luck acts as a shield that depletes when enemies miss, ensuring that "bad rolls" eventually turn in your favor. Between battles, you explore a strategic world map, making narrative decisions that influence the story's outcome.
The "Weird West": A dark setting where cowboys cross paths with cults, ghosts, and deals with the Devil.
Luck Attribute: A unique combat mechanic that reduces randomness; Luck is spent to dodge bullets and replenished when you take damage.
Poker Card Progression: Instead of a traditional skill tree, you equip collectible poker cards to gain passive and active abilities. Forming "poker hands" (like a Full House) grants extra stat bonuses.
Shadow Spotting: Use the position of the sun to see the shadows cast by enemies hiding behind walls or around corners.
Ricochets: Master gunslingers can use metal objects in the environment to bounce bullets around corners, hitting targets out of the line of sight.
