In Nightmare is a narrative-driven horror adventure game developed by Magic Fish Games and published by Maximum Entertainment. The PC version arrived on Steam on November 29, 2022, and the game is also available on PlayStation 4.
You play as a young boy who closes his heart to reality and falls into a deep sleep. He wakes up in a dark, whimsical dreamworld shaped by his own memories of a broken family. Each area hides clues about what happened at home, and the story slowly reveals the truth behind his fears.
Gameplay mixes stealth with puzzle solving. The boy's past trauma takes the form of monsters that patrol rooms and corridors, so you need to watch their routes, hide in the shadows and time your moves. Careful timing matters more than speed, which keeps the tension high without long fights.
