You take command of a pirate ship and sail a large, stylized sea in search of lost islands, treasure, and fame. Combat happens ship to ship in real time, so you maneuver for position and fire on rival pirates and menacing sea monsters while protecting your own hull.

Quests shape the journey, and the world reacts to your choices. Naval routes shift and difficulty adapts as you conquer settlements. Weather is part of the challenge: fog and storms reduce visibility, and wind direction can push you toward danger.

Progression centers on your ship. You can choose from five ship types, including the Sloop, Brig, Flute, Frigate, and Galleon, and outfit them with more than 900 collectible items. Trading also matters, since each settlement makes its own products that you can buy low and sell where demand is high. The game is single-player.
