Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is an action RPG remaster of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (2012). It was developed by KAIKO, published by THQ Nordic, and released on September 8, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version following in 2021.
You play the Fateless One, a hero brought back from death who is no longer bound by fate. In a world where every life follows a set destiny, that freedom lets you change the course of a long war and the fates of people around you. The world's lore was created by fantasy author R.A. Salvatore.
Combat is fast and action-focused. You mix weapons such as swords, hammers, bows, and chakrams with magic, and the Destinies system lets you combine Might, Finesse, and Sorcery skill trees to build a hybrid class.
The remaster improves graphics and performance, rebalances progression and loot, and adds a higher difficulty level. It includes previously released DLC, and the Fatesworn expansion was later added as paid content.
On PC, Steam lists full controller support and cloud saves. Re-Reckoning suits single-player RPG fans who enjoy large worlds, many side quests, and combat that feels closer to an action game than a traditional RPG.
PC: Most PC keys activate on Steam. The game needs 64-bit Windows and about 40 GB of storage.
Consoles: PS4 codes redeem on PlayStation Network, Xbox One codes on a Microsoft account, and Switch codes on the Nintendo eShop.
Fatesworn: The Fatesworn expansion is sold separately, and some editions bundle it. Check what each listing includes.
Offers come from several stores, so compare the edition, platform, and region rather than price alone.
