Kombinera is a puzzle platformer developed by Graphite Lab and published by Atari. It was released in April 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with macOS and Linux support on Steam.
Every level gives you two or more colored balls that move in unison. Your goal is to bring them together so they merge into one, but walls, gaps, and hazards split them up. Each move must work for every ball at the same time.
Ball colors matter. Each one has its own ability and interacts differently with obstacles of its matching color, which turns simple stages into tight logic puzzles. New mechanics and music tracks arrive with every chapter.
There are 300 puzzles and more than 25 hours of play, plus best-time targets for players who want to master levels. A light story about a fallen king, King Kombine, ties the chapters together. The game is single-player.
Levels start simple and grow into multi-step puzzles where a single wrong move can send one ball into danger. Because every ball reacts to the same input, the real challenge is reading the whole stage before you move. Levels are short, so retrying is quick, and a controller is recommended on PC for precise movement.
Kombinera suits players who enjoy short, brain-teasing levels, neon visuals, and electronic music.
PC: PC keys usually activate on Steam, which includes Windows, macOS, and Linux builds.
Consoles: PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Switch codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network, a Microsoft account, or the Nintendo eShop.
Edition: Kombinera is sold as a single standard edition.
