Life is Strange 2 is an episodic narrative adventure developed by DONTNOD Entertainment and published by Square Enix. The first of its five episodes launched on September 26, 2018, and the full season is available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with macOS and Linux versions ported by Feral Interactive. It tells a new story in the series rather than continuing Max and Chloe's arc from the first game and Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
After a tragic incident in Seattle, 16-year-old Sean Diaz runs away with his younger brother Daniel, who has just discovered a telekinetic power. Fearing the police, they head south toward their father's hometown of Puerto Lobos in Mexico. You play as Sean, and your decisions teach Daniel right from wrong: keep the power secret or use it, beg or steal, trust strangers or stay hidden. Daniel learns from your example, and those choices carry through to multiple endings. The road trip passes through Seattle, Oregon, California and beyond, with hand-painted visuals and a score by Jonathan Morali.
It suits players who want a character-driven story with real consequences. On Steam, Episode 1 is free and Episodes 2 to 5 are sold separately or as the Complete Season, so check that your Life is Strange 2 CD key covers the full season.
