Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a hack-and-slash action game developed and published by Dragami Games. It is a remaster of the 2012 cult classic Lollipop Chainsaw and launched on PC in September 2024, with versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 2, 2024.

San Romero High School has been overrun by zombies, and cheerleader Juliet Starling is the one to clean it up. She comes from a family of zombie hunters and fights with acrobatic cheer moves and a powerful chainsaw, while her boyfriend Nick tags along as a talking head attached to her belt.

The remaster speeds up the action. The new Chain Hit Hunting system builds combo streaks, and the higher your combo, the faster and deadlier Juliet becomes. The revamped Chainsaw Blaster adds rapid fire, better lock-on, and automatic ammo pickup for ranged attacks.

Boss battles against the Dark Purveyors, a group of undead rock stars, are the highlights of each stage. RePOP also brings upgraded graphics, 4K support, improved controls, new difficulty modes, and many quality-of-life fixes. It is a single-player game with online leaderboards on Steam.

It suits players who enjoy stylish, over-the-top action, short arcade-style stages, and campy B-movie humor.

Which version should you buy?

• PC: PC keys activate on Steam. The game needs 64-bit Windows 10 and about 60 GB of storage.

• Remaster vs original: RePOP is the only current digital release. The 2012 original is not sold on modern stores.
