Luna Abyss is a single-player, first-person action-adventure developed by Kwalee Labs and published by Kwalee. It was released on May 21, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
You play as Fawkes, a prisoner sentenced to explore a vast, decaying megastructure deep beneath the surface of Luna, a mimic moon. Your job is to recover lost technology from a colony that the Abyss swallowed, while an artificial prison guard named Aylin watches every move.
Movement is a big part of the game. You sprint, jump, and dash through brutalist alien architecture in fluid first-person platforming sections. Combat borrows from bullet hell shooters, so fights fill the screen with enemy projectiles that you weave through while returning fire. Mastering your tools and adjusting on the fly matters more than raw aim, and encounters with corrupted souls and twisted cosmic horrors grow more demanding as you descend.
The story is told through the ruins themselves. Echoes of the lost city of Greymont and whispered references to the Scourge, the All-Father, and the Collective slowly reveal what happened to the colony and what role Fawkes plays in its fate.
It suits players who like story-driven shooters with a strong atmosphere, cosmic horror themes, and fast movement. Accessibility options such as adjustable text size, camera comfort settings, and color alternatives are also included.
PC: PC keys activate on Steam. The game requires 64-bit Windows 11 and DirectX 12.
Consoles: PS5 codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network; Xbox codes on a Microsoft account.
Single-player: Luna Abyss is a story-driven solo game with no multiplayer modes.
