Lushfoil Photography Sim is a photography and exploration game created by solo developer Matt Newell and published by Annapurna Interactive. It was released on April 15, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it is built in Unreal Engine 5.
You walk through faithful recreations of real places, including South Tyrol in Italy, Le Prarion in the French Alps, Castle Rock in Western Australia, and Yamadera in Japan. The goal is simple: find a view you like and take the shot.
The in-game camera works like a real DSLR, with manual and auto focus, aperture, exposure, contrast, white balance, flash, and burst mode. You can also adjust light angle, fog, snow, wind, and rain to shape each photo.
Each location has photo objectives and hidden secrets. Exploring further unlocks extra cameras, such as a first-person drone and a rowboat for still waters. There is no combat or time pressure, and the game is single-player.
After shooting, you can review and enhance your photos with in-game tools before saving them. Some environments build on earlier standalone Lushfoil releases, now collected and expanded in one game. An ambient soundtrack with licensed music from artists around the world plays as you explore, and each location has its own tracks.
It suits players who enjoy relaxing walks, real-world scenery, and learning basic photography in a low-pressure setting.
PC: PC keys activate on Steam. A free Lushfoil Photography Sim VR add-on, released in December 2025, adds native PC VR support.
Consoles: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network or a Microsoft account. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.
Edition: Only a standard edition is sold.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. For screenshots and details, see the Lushfoil Photography Sim Steam page.
