Maquette is a first-person puzzle adventure developed by Graceful Decay and published by Annapurna Interactive. It launched on March 2, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, and later came to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The core idea is recursion. At the center of the world sits a dome holding a small model of the land around you, and the land around you holds the same model again. Drop a key into the model, and it appears as a giant key in the full-size world. Place a small object outside, and it becomes tiny inside the model.
Puzzles use this trick to change scale on demand. A small block can become a bridge across a gap, a giant object can shrink to fit through a doorway, and cracks in the ground can turn into canyons. Most solutions come from moving items between scales rather than from timing or reflexes.
Maquette is a single-player game. Alongside the puzzles, it tells a modern-day love story about a couple, Michael and Kenzie, whose relationship unfolds through voiced narration as you progress through each area.
The game suits players who enjoy short, thoughtful puzzle games with a strong art style and a personal story, and who prefer exploration and logic over combat.
PC: Most PC keys activate on Steam. The game needs Windows 10 and about 5 GB of storage.
Consoles: PlayStation codes redeem on PlayStation Network, Xbox codes on a Microsoft account, and Switch codes on the Nintendo eShop.
Edition: Maquette is sold as a single standard edition with no gameplay DLC, so offers should contain the full game.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. For more about the game, visit the official Maquette website.
