MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is a side-scrolling beat 'em up developed by Tribute Games and published by Dotemu. It was released on December 1, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Annihilus and his Annihilation Wave are tearing across the galaxy, and a roster of Marvel heroes must push them back. Stages travel from New York City to space and the Negative Zone.

You pick two heroes and swap between them during fights, calling in your partner for assists and combo extenders. Fifteen heroes are available, each with its own moves and cosmic abilities.

Up to four players can team up in local or online co-op, and the PC version supports cross-platform play. The game also works well solo for players who prefer a single-player run.

Each hero has a distinct move set, and switching partners mid-combo is the key to longer chains and higher scores. Pixel-art animation and a retro-inspired soundtrack echo classic arcade brawlers, while modern touches such as adjustable difficulty and narrated menus improve accessibility. Extra hero packs have expanded the roster since launch.

Tribute Games also made Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, and fans of that arcade style will feel at home. It suits Marvel fans, couch co-op groups, and retro brawler players.
