Mechabellum is a sci-fi strategy auto-battler developed by Game River and currently published by Dreamhaven. After a period in Early Access, the full version launched on September 26, 2024 for PC on Steam, with macOS support.
Each match is split into rounds. Between rounds you spend supply to buy units, place them on your half of the map, and choose upgrades. When the round starts, both armies fight automatically, so the result depends on your planning and counters rather than fast mouse clicks.
The unit roster ranges from light mech swarms to giant titans. In the hangar you customize unit tech trees before a match, then unlock specific upgrades mid-battle to answer what your opponent is building. Reading the enemy army and placing the right counter is the core skill.
Mechabellum offers ranked 1v1 matches and weekly in-game tournaments, plus 2v2 team play and a free-for-all brawl. Survival mode can be played solo or in co-op against waves of AI enemies, and the rotating Rift Mode changes the rules for a fresh challenge.
It suits strategy players who enjoy outthinking an opponent, competitive ladder fans, and anyone who likes real-time strategy battles without the need for high actions per minute.
PC (Steam): Keys activate on Steam. The game runs on Windows and macOS, and an internet connection is needed for online modes.
Optional DLC: Skin packs, avatar items, and battle contracts are sold separately and need the base game.
Consoles: There is no PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch version, so make sure the offer is a Steam key.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. For news and patch notes, visit the official Mechabellum website.
