Minami Lane is a cozy street-management sim developed by Doot and Blibloop and published by Doot Tiny Games with Wholesome Games Presents. It launched on PC on February 28, 2024, followed by macOS, Nintendo Switch in August 2024, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles in July 2025.
Each level hands you a short stretch of road on a Japanese-inspired street. You place houses to bring in villagers, then add shops and attractions such as ramen stands, boba cafes and bookstores. Once the day starts, villagers stroll the street, react to what they find and give feedback you can use to plan the next day.
Shop management is the strategic layer. Every store has its own inventory, recipes and prices, and getting those settings right raises villager happiness and income. Random events and small chores, like picking up trash, add light variety without turning the game stressful.
Missions unlock new levels with extra buildings and villager types, while a sandbox mode drops the objectives so you can simply decorate and relax. It is a single-player game with no multiplayer, and a full playthrough takes roughly two to four hours.
The hand-drawn isometric art takes inspiration from Studio Ghibli, and the street is full of cats and tanukis. Gentle music by composer Zakku rounds out the calm atmosphere.
Minami Lane suits players who want a short, wholesome management game, fans of cozy builders, and anyone looking for something calm to play in a single evening.
