Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a turn-based RPG developed and published by Capcom. It released on March 13, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and is the third entry in the Monster Hunter Stories series.
Instead of hunting monsters, you play as a Rider who collects monster eggs, hatches them, and raises the creatures, called Monsties, as battle partners. The story centers on twin Rathalos born under unusual circumstances.
Battles are turn-based and built on a rock-paper-scissors system of Power, Speed, and Technical attacks. Reading enemy patterns and building a bond with your Monstie unlock stronger combined moves.
Exploration happens on the back of your monsters, whose field abilities open new paths across the world. The game is a single-player adventure.
Monsties grow stronger as they fight alongside you, and different species bring their own skills and attack types. Building a balanced team that covers each attack type helps you deal with tougher bosses later in the story, while optional areas and side content give extra reasons to explore beyond the main path.
It suits Monster Hunter fans who want a story-focused RPG, players who enjoy creature collecting, and newcomers who prefer turn-based combat over action hunting.
