Monster Hunter: World is an action RPG developed and published by Capcom. It launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018 and arrived on PC through Steam in August 2018. It went on to become Capcom's best-selling game and brought the long-running series to a much larger global audience.
You play as a hunter with the Research Commission, sent to the New World to study its creatures. Each mission follows the same satisfying loop: track a monster using Scoutflies and footprints, learn its attack patterns, fight it in a large open area, and carve materials from it. You then use those materials to craft better weapons and armor for the next, tougher hunt.
The game offers 14 weapon types, from the fast Dual Blades to the heavy Great Sword and ranged Bowguns. Each one plays very differently, so finding your favorite is part of the fun. Maps are seamless and full of wildlife, plants, and terrain you can use against monsters, such as vines, rockfalls, and other monsters fighting over territory.
You can hunt alone or team up with up to three other players online. Quests scale with party size, and you can fire an SOS flare to get help on a tough hunt. The Iceborne expansion adds a new region, Master Rank difficulty, and many new monsters for players who want more endgame.
PC (Steam): Most PC keys activate on Steam. The base game is required to play Iceborne.
PlayStation and Xbox: Console codes are for PS4 and Xbox One. They also play on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility.
Master Edition: Bundles the base game with Iceborne and is usually better value if you plan to play the expansion.
Before buying, check the activation platform and region of each offer. If you are new to keys, read our guide on how to activate your CD key. You can find more details on the official Monster Hunter: World website.
