Mortal Sin is a single-player action roguelike developed and published by solo creator Nikola Todorovic. After a period in Early Access, the full version launched on Steam for Windows PC on August 29, 2025.
Each run drops you into a surreal nightmare built from procedurally generated maps and hundreds of handcrafted rooms. You chain slashes, bashes, and kicks into finishers, keep moving to build momentum, and push deeper before a single mistake ends the attempt.
Progression comes from unlocking new classes, each with its own weapons and abilities. The roster ranges from the greatsword-wielding Berserker to the gun-toting Pirate, and the arsenal covers spears, claws, guns, and magic. Randomized quests and hidden platforming zones add rare loot and extra risk.
The look is bold and graphic-novel inspired, with multiple visual modes and color palettes you can switch between. There is no co-op or online mode, so the focus stays on solo skill and replayability.
Runs are short enough to replay often, yet hard enough that each attempt teaches something new. Dozens of enemy types react to your attacks, so learning when to strike, dodge, or kick an enemy away matters more than raw stats. The game offers full controller support and Steam Cloud saves, and its interface is translated into ten languages, including Spanish, German, French, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. Regular updates since launch have expanded the class roster and visual options.
It suits players who enjoy demanding melee combat, short repeatable runs, and learning enemy patterns over many attempts.
Activation: Mortal Sin keys activate on Steam for Windows PC.
Edition: The standard edition is the full game. A separate soundtrack is sold on Steam and is not needed to play.
