Mr. Driller DrillLand is an action puzzle game published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, with the remaster developed by INFINITY. It is an HD version of Mr. Driller Drill Land, a 2002 GameCube game that was only sold in Japan. The remaster launched in June 2020 for PC and Nintendo Switch, followed by PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S versions in November 2021.
The goal is simple: drill down to the bottom of each stage. Blocks of the same color stick together, and groups of four or more vanish, which can set off chain reactions. Your oxygen meter keeps dropping, so you grab air capsules along the way and avoid brown X-Blocks, which cost 20% of your air. Unsupported blocks fall, so careless digging can get you crushed.
The game is set in DrillLand, a secret amusement park 500 meters underground. Its five attractions each change the rules: World Drill Tour, Star Driller, The Hole of Druaga, Horror Night House, and Drindy Adventure. Clearing them earns stamps and leads to a boss fight against Dr. Manhole. The currency you earn can be spent in a gift shop on power-ups and collectible cards.
Up to four players can compete locally in Free-for-All or Doubles matches. The remaster also adds a Casual mode for players who want a slower, more relaxed pace.
Mr. Driller DrillLand suits puzzle fans, players who enjoy quick arcade sessions, and anyone looking for a family-friendly local multiplayer game.
PC (Steam): PC keys activate on Steam. The game needs a 64-bit Windows 10 system and a CPU with AVX support.
Consoles: Console codes are redeemed on the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, or Microsoft Store, depending on the version.
Content: All five attractions, local multiplayer, and the new Casual mode are part of the base game.
