Necromunda: Hired Gun is a fast-paced first-person shooter developed by Streum On Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. It launched on June 1, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and is set in Necromunda, one of the most famous hive cities of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
You play as a bounty hunter for hire, working through a story that pulls you into the feuds of the hive's criminal gangs. Missions take you through huge industrial levels, from crumbling factories to toxic underhive tunnels, where gangers, mutants, and rival hunters wait at every turn.
Movement is a big part of the action. You can wall-run, slide, double jump, and use a grappling hook to cross gaps or pull enemies close. Between missions, a hub bar lets you buy and upgrade weapons, install body augmentations, and take on side contracts and bounties for extra rewards.
Your cyber-mastiff fights at your side. You can call it to track and attack enemies, and you upgrade its abilities as you progress. The game is single-player only, with no co-op or multiplayer modes.
