Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition is a party-based role-playing game set in the Forgotten Realms. Aspyr developed and published this updated version, which launched on July 15, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The original game was made by Obsidian Entertainment and released in 2006.
You play as the Shard-Bearer, a hero from a small village who ends up holding a fragment of a mysterious weapon. The King of Shadows and his army want it, and your choices shape how the story unfolds across the Sword Coast and the city of Neverwinter.
Combat and character building follow the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 ruleset. You create your own hero, recruit companions, and pause the action to give orders to your party. Classes, feats, and spells offer deep build options for players who enjoy tabletop rules.
The Enhanced Edition includes the base campaign plus the Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions, which Aspyr describes as over 100 hours of play. Online co-op and PvP support crossplay across all platforms, and a toolset on PC lets you build and share your own adventures.

PC: PC keys for the Enhanced Edition usually activate on Steam. It needs 64-bit Windows 10 and about 40 GB of storage.
Consoles: PS5 codes are redeemed on PlayStation Network, Xbox Series X|S codes on a Microsoft account, and Switch codes on the Nintendo eShop.
Edition check: Make sure the listing says Enhanced Edition. Older keys for the 2006 original are a different product without the new features.
