Buy Nintendo Switch Online 12 Months Individual Membership CD key compare prices

Nintendo Switch Online is Nintendo's paid subscription service for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The 12 Months Individual Membership adds one year of access to a single Nintendo Account. It is a subscription, not a permanent purchase.

The main benefit is online play. Many games, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 3, need a membership to play online with friends or other players. Free-to-play games such as Fortnite do not require it.

Membership also includes Save Data Cloud, which automatically backs up save data for compatible games, and a library of classic NES, Super NES, and Game Boy titles, some with online play. The Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app adds extra features in supported games, and members get special offers such as Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.

On Nintendo Switch 2, GameChat voice and screen-sharing chat requires a membership after its free period ended in March 2026. The standard membership does not include the Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, or SEGA Genesis libraries, which belong to the separate Expansion Pack tier.

This plan suits a single player who wants a full year of online play and cloud saves at a lower cost than renewing month to month.

Which plan should you buy?

• Individual vs Family: Individual covers one Nintendo Account. The Family Membership covers up to eight accounts.

• Standard vs Expansion Pack: This page is the standard membership. The Expansion Pack adds more classic libraries and select DLC.

• Activation and renewal: Codes redeem in the Nintendo eShop or on the Nintendo Account website. Check the region and manage auto-renewal in your account settings.

Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. For full details, see the official Nintendo Switch Online website.
