Pavlov VR, now sold simply as Pavlov, is a multiplayer first-person shooter for virtual reality developed and published by Vankrupt Games. It left Steam Early Access with its full release on December 4, 2024, and a PlayStation VR2 version for PS5 launched on February 22, 2023.
The core of the game is hands-on gunplay. You load magazines, rack slides, and aim down physical sights with your motion controllers, so reloading under pressure becomes a skill in itself. Matches are fast and lean on teamwork and communication.
Pavlov includes Search and Destroy, Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Gun Game modes, with settings that range from modern combat to World War II. Multi-crew tanks can be operated realistically by several players, and proximity voice chat plus radios keep teams talking.
Community content is a big part of the appeal. Players can host dedicated servers, and a mod kit supports custom maps and custom game modes. For practice, there are bots, an offline mode, a shooting range, and a killhouse.
The game requires a VR headset and is aimed at players who want a social, competitive shooter with realistic handling. It also supports online co-op for groups who prefer to team up rather than compete, and offline practice for players still learning the controls.
PC VR: PC keys activate on Steam and need a SteamVR or Oculus PC headset with standing or room-scale space.
PS VR2: The PS5 version requires PlayStation VR2 and its Sense controllers; online play requires PS Plus.
Anti-cheat: The PC version uses Easy Anti-Cheat and needs a broadband connection for online matches.
Before you buy, check the activation platform and region on each offer, then follow our guide on how to activate your CD key. Update news and community links are on the official Pavlov website.
