PEAK is a cooperative survival climbing game developed by Aggro Crab and Landfall Games (under their joint "Landcrab" effort) for Windows via Steam. The game puts you and your friends in the role of nature scouts stranded on a mysterious island. Your only hope of escape is to climb the massive mountain at the island's center.
The mountain changes every time you play. In fact, the game's map rotates out every 24 hours, giving you a new layout each day or letting you retry the same island multiple times. You'll climb through 4 different biomes, each with its own life-threatening obstacles like slippery jellyfish, spikey plants, and poisonous mushrooms.
PEAK requires teamwork. You'll need to rely on your friends to scale the mountain successfully. Help each other up ledges, place ropes and climbing spikes to make the path easier for scouts who come after, and communicate through proximity chat. Multiplayer is friends-only through Steam; you can invite up to three other scouts.
The game combines climbing with survival. You'll need to scavenge for questionable food to survive and carefully manage your injuries. Every setback limits your stamina, making it harder to continue climbing. You'll discover helpful survival items like energy drinks, climbing spikes, and the mysterious Anti-Rope.
